Create AUNIC NIC handle

If you have used any of the AUNIC web forms prior to this one, it is highly likely that you already have a NIC handle, in which case you should not use this form to create another one. Please use the AUNIC whois tool to search for your name before completing this form.

Please do not create more than one NIC handle per individual.

Once you have created a NIC handle for yourself, it is your responsibility to keep the details in the AUNIC database updated (which you can do using editUser, as long as you still have your AUNIC key.

If you do not keep a current email address in the AUNIC database, then there is a risk of other people being able to find out your key.

You may use the same NIC handle for multiple domains or as you change organisations.

Do not enter titles (eg. Sir, Mr/Ms, Dr., Prof. etc.) when filling in name details. Avoid punctuation marks where possible (ie, "." and ","), instead use spaces to separate multiple names. You may specify two additional middle names in the "Given Name" field. For example, entering "John Steven Peter" in the "Given Name" field, and "Smith" in the "surname" field would create a NIC handle JSPS1-AU (if JSPS1-AU didn't already exist).

Please be aware that the contact details you enter here will be publically searchable in the AUNIC whois database (although the complete database is not publically available for bulk downloads, it can be searched for a specific name).
