Australian Domain Delegation Form

This form is for requesting changes to the DNS records visible on the Internet for info.au (and possibly dropbear.id.au) domains.

This form should be used for full nameserver delegations and for domains which only require the insertion of mail exchanger (MX) records. The domain name must be one which has been previously registered in the AUNIC Registry.

Please note, on 1 July 2002, org.au was transitioned to auDA Accredited Registrars and AusRegistry. As of 1 August 2002, gov.au is handled by domainname.gov.au. AUNIC has ceased to be the edu.au registry. For details please see edu.au transition notice.

For info.au domains, the request will be automatically parsed and emailled on to the administrator of the zone file for manual processing.

The information you provide for this form will be made publicly available on the Internet (specifically: section 2 and section 4 or 5).

Most people prefer to use full nameserver delegation instead, in which case you can control the MX records on your own DNS server, like any other DNS record.

If you wish to delete all DNS records for this domain then complete Section 6.

You should advise your mail provider that they can expect a query as to their readiness to process mail for this domain, and request that they reply in the affirmative as quickly as possible, as processing of this request cannot be completed until that reply has been received. Alternatively request your provider to send an indication that they are ready (the provider sending this form will do) without waiting for the request.
